here is my story
Soon to be 53, since High School, I've carried more weight than I should have. I dieted countless times over the last 35 years and successfully lost weight using a variety of diets like Atkins, Cambridge, Weight Watchers, etc. Unfortunately, I always gained the weight back. My husband and other family members had much greater weight problems and they also dieted successfully but always gained it all back. 'take Shape For Life? changed not only my life but also my husband's life and the lives of many of my family members. We found it was easy to lose the weight (I lost 50 lbs and my husband lost 120 lbs) AND for the first time we have maintained the loss. TSFL taught us to think about food as fuel and how to put into practice the Habits of Health? each day as we work, travel, vacation, and yes even celebrate. If this was just a diet? story, it would end there but the biggest change in my life has been my health. Progressively each year, beginning in my early 40's, restful sleep became more difficult to achieve and each day meant facing fatigue, pain and stress, with less and less energy. Now that I have lost the weight, and am practicing the Habits of Health?, I have the energy and drive that I haven't had since my 30's. I had assumed my problems were just part of getting old but they weren't. More importantly, I had thought losing weight was the only goal of TSFL, but I have discovered eating and living the way TSFL has taught me has revitalized my life and outlook on the years ahead. TSFL has not only changed my life, my health and my relationship with food but it has also given me a new found calling. I love sharing this program with others and would feel privileged to guide you on your individual journey to Optimal Health.
